Rated 5 out of 5 by AKS1 from Great HeadPhone it is really a great headphone with good sound stage. This headphone definitely NOT for BASS heads,,! This is for audiophiles who need great sound without any artificial ingredients.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 4 Drums from Sonic Heaven Well like others I searched for headphones that are reasonably priced, sound great, and are comfortable. Taken advantage of Haman sales, I purchased the AKG wireless 50 BT for my office and daily commuting and could get over the sound quality for a wireless headphone. When the K550 went on sale, I immediately researched the reviews and found out quickly how good these were. Plop down my money and after careful break in, I put on some hi res music. What!!?? Wow!!! On a very old recording that I have listen to for over 40 plus years I could hear the buzz of the amplifiers! The details inside the music was breath taking. With a little sum of money my vast music collection was re-born. Bass heads look elsewhere. But, if you have properly heard music presented in HIGH fidelity than these are for you. These totally immerse me in the music regardless of the source.Faannnntttaaaassssttttiiiiccc!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MannyMI from I was a bit worried about the price tag...but The headphones went on sale and I go them because - I miss listening to music on LPs. The sound was so rich and the headphones made it better; back in the day. Now with all the compression, we miss the good in music. I wanted to get a pair of nice headphones, paired them with a FIIO Amp/DAC and OMG. I am back! I am loving music again. These headphones are amazing. :)

Rated 2 out of 5 by Piltorious from Decent sound quality but uncomfortable top band The sound quality on these is decent. A tad light on the bass but nice clarity. The ear cups are soft and go completely over the ear making them very comfortable. The top band that sits on my head hurts my head after about 30 minutes of use which is not long in my opinion. I don't have a lot of hair and am curious if these were tested for people with less hair but they hurt. I would suggest the engineers as AKG put some thought into the long term wearability of these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by EmshA from Great pair of closed-back Cans These are simply the best Closed-back "open-back-sounding" Headphones I've heard. The sound stage is incredibly wide and great. You'd benefit from powering them with a good AMP/DAC combo to add some extra umph, even though they're 32 Ohms. VERY clear with .FLAC files and good Bass response. PS. Beats by Dre were not meant to be used with Beats by Dre. Stop buying that garbage and listen with incredible clarity like these AKG's. Also, the durability of these cans is great! Plus they fold flat for easier storage or travel without fear of bending/breaking. Oh, and.... I've used them for 5+ hours straight with no "pressure" issues on the top of the head band. These are insanely comfortable, compared to the Q701 Quincy's which I wish had the same Headband style. Q701's really start digging into the top of your dome after 10 minutes of listening and it's quite unpleasant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ShoutHouse from Great build, quality materials, fantastic fit The sound out of this set is so balanced and enjoyable I wish that I could take them everywhere. I have nothing to say bad about the things that make this a headset. The pros are in the title. Cons - Extremely long cable that is not detachable Ear cups could be a smidge deeper (this is because I have large stick out ears) That's all.
