Rated 2 out of 5 by Trashbuster from Great idea but less than adequate audio quality I bought this device with the hopes of being able to access my digital music library with good quality audio. I have since learned that bluetooth streaming has serious drawbacks because of the compression technology used. Playback via the BTA 10 was "tinny" and clearly unacceptable. I am not a audio purist so I wasn't looking for CD quality. The concept of this device is outstanding but, unless you plan on streaming audio into an elevator, you will not be pleased with the end result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sean from Works great with Bose wave We bought a Bose wave and my wife wanted the cd attachment. This meant we could not use their Bluetooth accessory(bad design IMHO). So I went looking for an option. This is perfect it plugs into the RCA aux jack on the back of the cd expansion module and Bam!! Now I have Bluetooth for my phone and my wife has her CDs. Super easy to set up and a very small footprint( my guess less than two inches square by a half inch thick). It tucked behind the wave system and no one is the wiser.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Melbhifi from Nice product. Enjoy the ease of connection and the audio quality. I run a harman amp with high current and Bowers & Wilkins CM8 speakers. Sound is superb with rich mid range and bass reproduction. My only issue is the BT loses it's sync and needs to be powered down and restarted which is more inconvienent than a major issue in sound quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Moe13 from Extended the life of my old "Play and Go" I had bought a Harmon Kardon Play and Go about 5 years ago because I was so impressed with the beautiful sound . . . the blue tooth makes it much more practical to play my music from my telephone bluetooth and the quality of sound is still great! Thanks for asking. Peace.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jeannebr from Great when it works. This is the second one I've had, and when it works it's great. But then it suddenly stops and won't pair, won't find the source, etc. I'll have to try something else - this isn't worth the aggravation. Both of them worked less than a year

Rated 5 out of 5 by A Rohan from convenient I bought this item to give me the ability to have control of input source of music when I am away from my high end system. It operates quite well. The accuracy of is not as high as my control board but close enough. Thanks

Will this connect to my tv and broadcast sound to my bluetooth headphones?
Thank you for the inquiry. No. This product connects to an auxiliary audio input of a receiver. A source device (smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc.) connects bluetooth and steams audio to it. Best Regards.

Can I plug this in to the cd input on my receiver?
Absolutely. It will work line input on any receiver as long as it is not a PHONO input.

Can I use the HK-BTA 10 to transmit from smart tv to Bluetooth speakers
This is not possible. The BTA10 is a Bluetooth receiver, not a transmitter. So, for example, if you had a receiver/speaker that wasn't Bluetooth, you could connect the BTA10 to the receiver and then transmit from your Bluetooth device (smart phone, computer, etc.) to the BTA10 which would then play to the receiver via the line audio output.
