Rated 5 out of 5 by Mikeyanthony from Very Good Sound I bought the HK 3700 to go with my HK 2.1 speaker system. The sound is excellent. This is audio only and does not support HDMI connection. The HDMI connections are made from the Cable box, DVD Player, etc. to the TV. Audio cables are used to connect the TV to the HK 3700. It's a bit of a headache for those of us who are electronically challenged. But, once the system is set up, all is well with the world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pete M from My new HK3700 I just received my amplifier/receiver. I love the quality of the sound. I also like that I was able to directly connect a turntable (without a separate pre-amp box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tessie from Great features! I got this for Christmas to replace an old 70's receiver. Surprisingly good sound. Pushes my 120 watt speakers with ease. Love having a remote and the display an extra bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ETradwaste from Replacement for unit purchased in 1969 I purchased a Harman Kardon amp in early 1969. It lost a channel in late 2016, which prompted this purchase. Excellent unit then and now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jpbe from superb sound and design... ... however: HK remote app has an erratic behavior: sometimes the receiver appears, mostly not. (HK3700/network connection through RJ45, DLNA on, Iphone 4s ios9 / wifi network). No app update since feb 2014, this may explain that. The worst in my opinion: power off is working with the app, however NO POWER ON BUTTON (or any electronic entry signal detection on the HK3700). "Le son ancienne ecole rencontre la connectivite actuelle" ? A quoi ca sert la frite, si t'as pas les moules ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by D Wall from A big wrinkle at first, but HK made good. The first unit sent to me died within a week. Harmon Kardons' exchange policy worked as advertised, and they quickly sent me another. The sound is great, the amplifier was able to drive a pair of Kenwood MV-7's (550W speakers) without any decernable frequency loss. While some consider the lack of a balance control a downside, I have always been a stickler for good speaker placement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ma Tones Music from Works like a charm. I bought this as a replacement for my NAD and I couldn't be happier. It came packaged great and worked perfectly out of the box. Sounds great and has a sleek interface. Would definitely buy this again.

Does this reciever have two zones? If so can they be played indepentely?
The receiver will allow you to connect two-sets of speakers and you have an option to place them in different areas. However, each set of speakers cannot independently play multiple source.

How can I play music from an iOS device thru dlna! I have bought various apps and have been unable to get this to work.
There are a number of applications available for iOS devices to play through DLNA. One thing to make sure of is that the HK 3700 is properly connected to your modem/router with an ethernet cable.

CAN THISE BE CONNECTED TO HARMAN KARDON HKTS 16BQ
While the satellites and the subwoofer would work with the HK 3700, this can only provide you stereo sound and not surround sound. The HK 3700 is a stereo receiver and the HKTS 16 is intended to be connected to a 5.1 A/V receiver to provide a complete surround sound system. An AVR we could recommend would be the AVR1510S which can drive 75W per channel to the HKTS 16's speakers that can handle up to 120W of power.
