Rated 5 out of 5 by Beat master B from Great subs for the money !!! This is my system which is geared for music only . 400 watts per sub is nice! One will do the trick for most home theaters . Two will bring the house down! Hopefully they will last . Have fun !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Collegeboy09 from LOUD CLEAN BASS! I bought this for the new year because I had wanted to add some of the low bass I was missing from my main speakers. To make a long story short I got this while it was on sale for $199.99 and I couldn't be more happier. I bought it for music listening and the bass is really accurate without any distortion, even at high volumes. It is not too boomy drowning out the high frequencies and it looks nice in a room with black decor. I recommend keeping the volume at 3/4s. I also recommend upgrading to a quality cable. The free cable did not do the sub any justice. Get a Monster Bass 400 cable from Amazon and you will thank me later.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dingo from Outstanding Value I purchased this subwoofer roughly one month ago as I am in the process of updating my home theater. I have a pair of JBL LX55's that I use as my front speakers (I love these speakers) and decided to purchase the ES250 to replace an existing sub. In my comparison shopping, I actually thought JBL may have had the price incorrectly listed for this particular sub. I am absolutely amazed at the "bang for the buck" I got when I made this purchase. This sub is fantastic! For the price I paid, it would have been crazy not to make this purchase. I am beyond pleased. I have always been a huge fan of JBL - and this just reaffirms all of the reasons why. Thank you JBL - keep up the great work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dj02yankees from I Love Bass! Very Happy The JBL ES250P is rock solid and delivers super clean bass!! I have an old Onkyo ht-r560 and can't believe the difference the JBL makes. There is pure bass pumping out of this sub woofer! I had to go to Home Depot and ask someone how to get my pictures on my walls to stop vibrating from the bass this sub delivers. I am extremely happy with this sub and intend on buying another one to pair it with a surround sound 9.2 channel (Marantz 7008 or Denon 4520) receiver. I just bought the JBL E890's and these towers work VERY good with the ES250P. Anyway, I highly recommend these subs for anyone!!! JBL is very classy and has provided superior sound experiences with their speakers over the years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JR1124 from Incredible sound. Another great product from JBL.. Tremendous lows!! In fact, I have to turn the level down 1/2 way so it doesn't rattle the house and upset my wife during intense movies or load music.. :) I have always been a major JBL fan and have purchased JBL speakers ever since 1982 when I bought my 1st L56's. JBL never disappoints... Btw, those old L56's are still rockin it in my garage sound system and still sound as great as the day I bought them.. I could ramble on and on about how many JBL products I own throughout my home, auto's, boat and RV. Take my word for it, in 35 years plus years I have seen and heard a lot of different speakers and I can honestly say the sound JBL produces is unique, intense and crystal clear..

Rated 5 out of 5 by dancergurly from KAAAA-BOOOOOM! Bolt everything to the walls..nail the furniture down and strap the kids ( or pets ) to the couch. This thing hits like a ton of lead! It does take some tweaking to get it to match the other speakers but once it's dialed in the difference is amazing. My living room is carpeted so it did tend to muffle the down firing design ( vent tube ) but once I got it up on some vinyl flooring it was game on! This is not for apartment living or neighbors living close by..this is for a system you can cut loose on with no one around. Truly incredible for the price..lets see if it lasts.

Is this more powerful than the LSR310? which is the better bass for Music Listening? Mostly Rock, Cellos and Modern Music. Thanks
I own the LSR310 and matching monitors. It is designed for different purposes. Being a studio reference monitor sub, it is made to be technically accurate and effectively "disappear" into the rest of a purpose-built system, in a purpose-built listening space. While the LSR sub does sound extremely good with music playback, it is not going to hit you in-your-chest with SPL and rattle the windows quite like the unit listed here is capable of doing, especially in a larger area.
