JBL Charge 3 is rated 4.703947368421052 out of 5 by 152.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this speaker! I bought this a few days ago at target and I was really impressed with it once it got it, this speaker simply sounds amazing! I had the charge 2+ and decided to upgrade to the charge 3, there is a pretty good difference between the two, not in a bad way.... But comparing the two, the charge 3 goes almost two times louder than the charge 2+ as for the bass the charge 2+ has a little more bass but the charge 3 has more deeper bass and also is more like a hifi speaker and has more of a balanced sound than the charge 2+, the battery life last much longer, I just simply love this speaker, there's nothing better you can get for the price

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Sound Quality, Annoying Noise I love the Charge 3 because it .. + has a good (well balanced) sound quality + has a long runtime + supports convenient charging via micro-usb + supports stereo pairing (two speaker can be connect as a stereo system) The only thing i really dislike about this speaker is the loud noise when .. - its turned on/off (annoying guitar noise) - its connected via bluetooth (ping-ping noise) - a stereo pairing is established (ping-ping noise) Because of this loud and IMHO unnecessary noises its nearly impossible to use this speaker in a quiet environment. Therefore i can give only 3 stars out of 5. But i would change my rating to 5 stars if this noises could be disabled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW!!! Just wow!!! I purchased this speaker when i lost my original Charge device. This speaker lives up to the precedence set by the original. The Charge 3 is an all around impressive speaker. From the heart pounding bass to the sharp and clear highs this is exactly what I want from a long term speaker. Although its size is not as portable as i would like due to the battery that i have not been able to kill, trust me I've tried. The water proofing on this is no joke either. the first day I got it i tried it out by completely submerging it in my hot tub only to pull it out and have it play with the sound quality expected from a JBL device.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brilliant! Except.. It really is an amazing speaker once you've turned it on, great sound quality from lower volume classical to loud electronic music. It's just that start up noise when connecting to Bluetooth which almost ruins it. I live in a share house and if I want to listen to some quiet music I'm scared I'm going to wake the house up, even under the blankets the beep is so loud. When you're not bothered about it you probably wouldn't even think it's that loud but sometimes prevents me from even using it. Shame, Is there no way around it? All in all just a slight annoyance for an amazing speaker.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Review -Overall solid build. -Quality and craftsmanship is all there. -I think you need the ability to change the settings when you want, ie bass, mids and highs etc etc. Every song doesn't have the same sound so having this option would be nice. Maybe something in an application based setting where you could play with it to suit your taste/like. -Speaker output on both sides would be nice as well vs sound just sound from the jbl logo side. What about people that are behind the speaker but the sound is facing away? Should be all around in my opinion. -The ability to skip to the next track would be nice. If I'm in the pool and want to skip tracks but my phone is away, I have to get out of the pool to change it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Bluetooth speaker - I'm impressed. Late to the BT party, but I bought this as a wireless option to a kitchen radio but happily found it's much more than that. Where it *really* shines is outside. Crank it up and WOW! Clear with plenty of bass and mid range. Really, seriously nice. First full charge lasted at least 20 hours of play time. Haven't tried the waterproof features and don't want or plan to. The on/off audio signal is unnecessary (and too loud). The standard not-loud duo tone would suffice (low-high for on, high-low for off). Definitely a happy consumer, and so much so it inspired me to write this review. Oh, and they shipped me two Yankees tickets for tomorrow's game. Nice promo, and thanks, but NYC is not my cuppa tea.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive I bought this a few weeks ago after comparing several models of the JBL and various other brands. I have to say I'm pretty impressed. It packs some great sound and seems to be built well. I almost bought the Charge 2+ in a local store but luckily found this was available for pre-order directly on the JBL site for the same price. It holds an impressive charge and I love that I can charge my phone from it. I have been using it outside while working around the yard and several bonfires. It impressed my family so much they are picking one up for themselves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from seems like an endless battery I have played it for hours. Neither my I phone or Charge 3 have even came close to running out of power. Sound wise I have compared it to two other name brand well known it comes out on top. Not considering price but sound is superior. The distance the sound carriers not just sound but quality lows and highs are very present while out doors. There are more expensive speakers then this and not as good. I feel I have a critical ear since I grew up in a very musical family and I know what sounds good. Folks you can't go wrong with this one.

Can I Connect a JBL Xtreme and a JBL Charge 3?  With "Connect", how does sound quality of "party" compare to "stereo"?

Asked by: NeedMyTunes
The CHARGE 3 and XTREME can be connected via the connect feature. However they cannot be set to stereo mode because you would need two(2) of the same model of speakers to be able to select stereo mode. Party mode plays music through both speakers at the same time without any distinction of which speaker is the left or the right speaker, while stereo mode plays music through the speakers using the "stereo left and right" logic, which means that one speaker plays the left channel while the other plays the right channel.

How to compare jbl speaker . One which I wanted to buy is of 90 dollars. An now I like this one which is 4 149 .99 dollar.

Asked by: VINAYAK
The comparison between the 2 speakers on this site is currently not supported. I assume you're trying to compare the CHARGE 2 from the CHARGE 3. The CHARGE 2 has an overall power output rating of 15W while the CHARGE 3 has an overall power output rating of 20W. The CHARGE 3 is also slightly larger than the CHARGE 2. The CHARGE 3 is waterproof while the CHARGE 2 is not and the most distinctive difference would be the Connect feature that the CHARGE 2 does not have but the CHARGE 3 has. Other than that, both have same specifications.
