JBL® Everest™ Elite 100 is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best headphones I've ever owned My family has gone through so many headphones that I've lost count. It seemed like my teen son needed a new pair every few months. The JBL Everest Elite 100 headphones have outlasted all of them. Yeah, they are a little pricey, but I think back on how much I've spent on less expensive brands and how long they lasted. These are well worth the few extra dollars and then some. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has it all This product has everything I needed in a set of earphones. Bluetooth, noise cancelling & works with phone. When 1st trying them a bit disappointed with the sound & attributed that to the noise canceling technology. A previous set from Bose did a great job of noise cancelling but the sound wasn't that good even though Bose sound is normally pretty good. Downloading the JBL app. took care of that & with the control you get with the included equalizer the sound is great now. Another thing you must do is take the time to see which set of buds works best for your ear. A proper fit contributes to a better sound as well & facilitates the noise cancelling attributes. They're comfortable also. The one criticism I would have is they're not very powerful regarding volume. Sometimes I like to rock & these don't get up there. Perhaps with the noise cancelling aspect they might be loud enough, we'll see. All together a fine product. Clicked average on durability only because I just got these & don't know yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great product! I highly recommend! :-) I received this as a late Christmas gift, about two months ago and I absolutely love it! I've had JBL speakers as stock speakers in my past vehicles, therefore I knew that I would throughly enjoy anything that I purchased from JBL. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comprehensive Review I recently bought the JBL Everest Elite 100 even though I had a pair of LG Tone Platinum. The one thing I can say about this pair of headphones is WOW. First off, the sound you get when wearing these headphones is bar none. The bass hits poignantly while the treble and mids hit clean and well. The only issue is no retractable or magnetic earpieces so that may become an issue. The build of the product is good. I originally thought the neck piece would be an issue but the headphones do not shift the way one would think because the build seems to be heavy enough to hold still but light enough to not be a nuisance on the neck. The extra piece to hold them in while doing exercise are definitely a good addition. Overall a great product with great sound for those who are willing to purchase a product worth its price in my opinion.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This should not have a 4 star review I hate to say it but you guys dropped the ball on this. These elite 100 headphones are not worth $150 I paid. They are maybe worth $75. Knowing what I do now. I wouldn't even pay that. They are suppose to hold a charge for several hours. I am lucky to get 2 hours. On top of that. It won't let you use the call button unless the phone screen is unlocked. So what is the point. I should just call someone using my phone instead of the headset. The volume has a low listening limit unless you download the app. Last but not least. These headphones are suppose to have noise reduction. No. That is absolutely not true. I have tried every form or noise reduction. Not working at all. My end review. Waste of my money. Lost my business forever.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not As Amazing As I Have Come To Expect From JBL I'm going to be a little harsh on these earbuds. Pros; Loud, Noise Canceling, Comfortable AROUND THE NECK, Easy to Use Cons; odd sized ear tips (i wish they had the same fit as the Everest 100), Noise Canceling is mediocre. This device doesn't carry the Everest title as well as its counter part. The non-elite version of this device has better noise isolation than these. Now theoriticaly that would be combated by the ANC, but that doesnt seem to be what i expected. Overall these are really nice headphones but I had Higher expetations after using the Everest Elite 700

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wonderful for the fist 6 hrs but then...... Unfortunately they wont recharge - after the first and only use. I plug in the cable the red light comes on to indicate it is charging then five seconds later it is off again. now the only thing these headphones do when i turn them on is say "Battery Low" and turn themselves off again. - Not happy.

I read where you should get six hours of charge via the bluetooth. I use my headphones for my phone only connected to bluetooth and they are losing charge very quickly with very little talking. What's using up the battery so quickly?

Asked by: marysforjesus
We are sorry to hear that you are having this issue. Battery life would really depend on how the headphone is used, depending on music content (i.e Rap, R&b, rock, etc...) and volume level would certainly play a major role in the play time of the headphone. If the headphone is at 80-90% volume playing audio with a lot of bass, battery/play time would be shortened compared to the headphone playing mellow/slow music at 40-50% volume. If the battery drains too fast, please submit a case request at https://www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to assist you.

Two questions. Is there a way to determine what version of firmware is installed on the headphones? If using the headphones with a MacBook Pro, how do you update the firmware?

Asked by: HarmanUser
Unfortunately, there is no way to determine the version of firmware. The only way to update the headphone is by using the JBL CONNECT app which is available on IOS or ANDROID devices only.
