JBL OnBeat Venue is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product !! Bought it two years ago and didn't have any major problems. At the beginning, there were few lacks with Bluetooth connection but after update, speaker works great! It is incredible product that delivers so rich sound from such a small box for very low price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great sound, for a relatively small price I own this product since Christmas 2012 and I really like it. But lately I haven't been able to connect my iphone via bluetooth: when I turn the OnBEat on, the bluetooth status light stands still, it doesn't blink, and the onBeat Venue doesn't appear in the list of the devices ready to be paired with. What can I do? I read also that I can 'reset' this by keep the source button pressed, but it doesn't work. Thanks

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inner connector loose which equals dud product Bought this for my Fiance as a Christmas gift. Less than 2 years and the inner connector for the plug in wiggles and will not connect. Now I have a book end. Very, very disappointed as the warranty is out and the product was used as specified and never manipulated. Have the receipt, however did not get the "geek squad" warranty. A product at this price level should not have such weak inner technology. Loved the product until this and now out $200 :( Brandon

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The bluetooth issue strikes again I bought one of these last year and I've suffered from the bluetooth drop issue until the firmware update. It was everything OK until last week, when the bluetooth drops came back, making it impossible to use. Is there anything I can do to improve the bluetooth connection on the JBL Onbeat Venue?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good sound worth the budget, however... I purchased this speaker unit a week ago and I think the sound quality is very worth the price. I can say that it packs a lot of power for a speaker this size. The speaker is very easy to set up via bluetooth connection. I don't have an iPad so I don't use the dock at all and therefore cannot give any comment about that. I only connect to the speaker via bluetooth from my android phone/ laptop. However, from time to time (I have been using the speaker everyday since I purchased it), the speaker would just simply go into standby mode by itself even when the music is being played from the computer. This standby would happen for 4-5 seconds and then audio would disappear during this time and then the audio playback would resume after this "pause" all by itself. I am pretty sure this is not supposed to happen unless it's a product defect or something like that. The speaker itself or the power supply adapter? The fact that it has been occurring everyday makes it seem rather strange now and is a nuisance. What could be the reason for this? Could you please suggest to me what I can do to solve this problem or should I turn the product in to get a new replacement? Thank you. The speaker is good when it works (most of the time).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great while the Bluetooth worked Bluetooth slowly went out over the course of a year. The unit stays put and never moves and is lightly used (I use it to help fall asleep). At first the Bluetooth would randomly disconnect every once in awhile but lately, it happens every 10 seconds making it impossible to listen and enjoy music. Sometimes it won't even connect to my phone. I've tried it with my iPhone 6 and my iPad Air and they both experience the same issue. Very disappointed in JBL for either their poor design or the cheap parts they decided to use for Bluetooth connectivity. Unfortunately, I can only give the product two stars because the Bluetooth functionality was one of the main reasons I bought it.

My JBL keeps turning off when playing with the Ipad in the docking station. This happens since the last Ipad-update. Is there a way to solve thus?

JBL OnBeat Venue keeps powering off every 15 minutes or so when streaming music via Bluetooth. iPhone continues to show device is connected. Hit the power and everything is back.... for another 15 minutes. What can I do?

Asked by: Soulpiercing
The ONBEAT VENUE has power saving features. It is auto sensing and will turn off if no audio signal is detected for approximately 10 minutes. So, if you have the volume on the ONBEAT VENUE cranked up, and the volume on your source device set really low, it is very possible that the ONBEAT VENUE is not seeing enough of an audio signal to know to stay on. Please try turning the volume on the ONBEAT VENUE down a bit, and then crank up the volume on your source device to get to the level you desire. This will send a signal to the ONBEAT VENUE and it should stay on without any issues.

Do you have adapters for the JBL OnBeat Venue so that I can use my iphone 5 instead of the iphone 4? I can't use the iphone 4 because the Pandora app won't work with the old operating system 7.0, it needs 8.0 to run the Pandora app

Asked by: Nana13
Apple manufactures and sells converters, to convert the original 30-pin connector over to the newer Lightning connector. You will need one of these converters in order to connect your iPhone 5.

I can't get the volume to increase using my iPad. I need help to up the volume using my JBL ONBEAT VENUE

Asked by: KimEllen
This is correct. When docked, Apple does not utilize the volume control on the iPad. The volume is left to the speaker. You must adjust the volume on the ON BEAT VENUE.

Hi, I love my JBL! I have an OnBeat Venue, I use on my IPad. I am having lots of problems connecting my IPhone 5s. I would like the app and music to play on my phone. Can you help me? Thank you and enjoy the rest of your day.

Asked by: Jojofosse
Hello, Thank you for the inquiry. To connect docked try using a lightning to 30 pin adapter connecting the phone to the speaker. This is not guaranteed to work. To connect wireless. Press the Source button on the speaker until the Bluetooth symbol begins to flash blue. Search Bluetooth devices on your phone and connect to JBL OnBeat Venue. Stream music and enjoy. Best Regards.
