A distortion pedal like no other, the DOD Boneshaker is supercharged with a 3-band parametric EQ that drives its gain to add more frequency-specific, gut-punching, more bare-knuckle mids and more responsive highs. Black Arts Toneworks designed the Boneshaker’s circuit specifically for extended-range guitars, baritone and bass - anything heavy, loud and low. In addition to the Boneshaker’s Distortion, Depth and Level controls, it also features independent Low Level, Low Frequency, Mid Level, Mid Frequency, High Level and High Frequency controls. It’s that incredibly versatile 3-Band Semi-Parametric EQ that makes the Boneshaker stand out from all other distortion stompboxes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meh honestly I bought this on impulse as it was on sale, and after trying it out I probably wouldn't have paid the full price for it. That being said, its not a terrible pedal. It's almost like an improved metal zone, has the 3 band eq with the freq. and level controls, but not as fizzy sounding as the metal zone, definitely more natural sounding distortion. Unfortunately, just like the metal zone it's quite noisy even with the dist. control turned down significantly. Also, the controls aren't very responsive, especially the level and distortion controls, which suddenly jump up in levels at the very end of the knobs' tapers. I don't see myself using this thing regularly, but it's just another pedal to keep in the collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great distortion pedal, esp for Bass! Unbelievable price ($40!!) for a $150 pedal that adds a smooth & satisfying growl to your low- end signal. Massive head room combined with lots of tweaking adjustment by way of dual eq knobs let's you dial in exactly where & how you want the clean signal to break up. Solid built casing with a cool look make the addition to your board a stylish and functional choice. Paired with a clean boost this thing cuts through the mix and feeds a vicious snarling rip to a smooth jazzy fuzz into even a small practice amp. Any price under $100 makes this pedal a great value - BUT $40 AMAZING! Thanks Harmon/DOD. I'm a fan!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Pedal I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this pedal, I'm a long time Screamer fan. But to be honest I think I might have to give the Boneshaker the edge, and the main reason is because you can sculpt your tone to almost anything you desire. The 3 Band Equalizer is the key. You can go from a sweet full clean tone to a bone shaking distorted tone. Could very easily become my favorite pedal, so much so I may get another so I can go from Clean to Earth Shattering with just a click. Highly recommend this pedal, you'll be impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Killer boost pedal This pedal works great as a boost in front of an amp. The controls have a lot of flexibility that allow you to dial in the tone you are after. I mainly play baritone but also found this pedal useful for less aggressive and more conventional rock sounds paired with my strat. Would highly recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible hum makes pedal unusable at any volume I was really excited for this pedal, but it makes an awful noise with the level set to ANY volume, even with the guitar level completely off. The pedal is completely silent with the level all the way down, but what's the point of a pedal that doesn't allow any sound to pass through? Tried the pedal with multiple power supplies as well as different guitars and instrument cables and any level above zero produces an audible hum thay makes the pedal unusable. I plan on sending it back. I ordered one other pedal as well that I will be testing immediately to make sure it doesn't suffer from similar quality control issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good pedal but... Well made. Sounds cool with my humbucker equipped strat. Could not get a decent sound with my active pickup equipped 7 and 8 strings. It tended to magnify unwanted harmonics and be noisy. Dial down the distortion and you lose your chunk. I would not recommend if you are into progressive, extreme, or thrash kind of metal on erg guitars. I would advertise this as a fuzz pedal with an edge. More elaborate instructions would have been helpful too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sounds killer on bass Not too impressed with the tones for guitar. My BAT Pharaoh smokes this pedal. However, I can nail Discharge tone with this on bass. Killer for bass, I couldn't put the bass it down after trying it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pedal for old school rock For $40-50 this pedal is pretty awesome. It gives you a great narly old school rock tone with a little bite. It sits somewhere between an OD and fuzz. Paired with a Tubescreamer or big muff opens up even more possibilities. I wouldn't pay much more for this, or most pedal so it's a solid 9 for the price IMHO.
