Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!!!!! I had a Lenovo Smart Display which was cool, but it was large, white with OK sound quality. I purchased the JBL Link View which is an amazing Smart screen speaker blends in better being black in my kitchen, is splash proof which is a huge plus for any kitchen and doesn’t take too much space in my opinion. The sound of course is much much better than the Lenovo model. This purchase will not disappoint you with its screen quality and sound.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible purchase It's a great speaker. One of the best bluetooth speakers I've ever owned. However, for this price, you can go buy a much nicer sound system because this is the stupidest "smart" speaker in the entire lineup of every IoT device in the market. Does not connect to Home Group. Does not support "Continuation" voice feature. The Google Home software just seems to be so different and unintuitive from the other Google Homes I have in my house. One positive I will say about this product is that it's very tough because one time I got so frustrated with how dumb this speaker was I punched it straight in the screen, and it's still working perfectly fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Product - Need update to multiroom audio I bought this a couple days ago and have been very impressed so far. Good sound quality, good display and slimmer footprint than I expected which is great for my kitchen ledge. The only downsides so far have been that it does not yet support multiroom speaker groups (BIG disappointment as JBL web site said it did, but apparently this is coming in a future update by Google) and also if you are putting it on a high shelf the unit has no way to adjust the resting display angle which means my unit was reflecting lights and was shooting duo video of the top of my head. I have propped it up with felt chair tips for now which works, but an adjustable base with multiple angles would be useful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lots of Potential Great sound and love that it has chromecast. i bought this after I had returned my amazon echo show due to its inability to use YouTube. I thought this would be great for my daughters to be able to watch videos through YouTube and it’s something that entertains while cooking. I was happily surprised when I found out it used Chromecast and that I could watch videos casted from my phone and such, but it is very limited. i cannot cast Netflix, which would be nice, I don’t sit in the kitchen long enough to start a movie. I have a subscription to DirecTV Now and I can cast recorded movies and tv shows and it plays just fine. If I try to cast live tv it plays but with no sound. His is the first time I have used google music and it is alright. Usually when I ask the link view to play music it is unpopular music I have never heard. When I ask to play pandora it seems to just add a station rather than play the station I already have. Overall it sounds great, the ability to use Chromecast is awesome, and being able to access YouTube is always a plus, but I don’t know if it was worth the trade from the amazon echo show, especially now that they came out with a newer model. If JBL and google can fix these few things than I think the JBL Link View is a steal!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Still needs some work The screen and sound is great, the unit still has some short comings -You cannot link it with other JBL link speakers for whole house audio -Spotify, if you have big playlist it will only play the first 100 songs on the playlist on shuffle -The main screen and the sleep screen options are limited to a couple of clocks or photos. Would like to be able have a clock, weather forecast, maybe even the news All in all its OK but would have expected more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than the Google Home Hub Bought the google Home Hub. Turned the lights off and the display goes completely dark. I planned on using this in the bedroom, but can't because you can't see the clock. Ran across the JBL Link View looking for another option. Best Buy only had one and none on display. I took a chance and brought it home. I plugged it in and turned the lights off. Perfect the clock stays visible in the dark. I then fired up Google Music and my wife says wow that's a huge improvement in sound compared to the other one. Both agreed it's a keeper.

The Link view doesn't have any battery so it needs to be plugged in at all times for it to work.

The brightness for the clock at nighttime is turned all the way down. Is there any way to make it darker or turn it off? It keeps my girlfriend awake and she has to throw a shirt over it because of the glow.

Is JBL planning an update for group audio? This is now available from the google home app, but the Link View does not behave properly, drops from wifi and kills the group audio

Asked by: Ayal
Unfortunately, it cannot be part of a group. This is because the JBL Link View is not considered a "speaker" so it cannot become part of a speaker group. You can only group speakers together. This unit is considered a 'display'.
