JBL® Everest™ Elite 700 is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 83.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Think that the Elite 300 sounded beautifully? At first the Elite 700 may not sound as clean as the Elite 300. The TruNote calibration feature (found in more expensive AKG headphones also by Harman) and the same driver formula shared with its on-ear cousin, the Elite 300 is a plus. Add Circumaural comfort with Harman Next-Gen Noise Cancellation, and the headphones can sound beautifully. Your ears need to get used to the TruNote calibration for the headphones to sound beautifully. Although not as beautifully designed as Harman's own Harman/Kardon headphones, these headphones can sound beautiful once you get your ears to get the hang of it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Headphones, one personal flaw As a Best Buy employee I am always on the look out for better headphones than my current pair. I always get the protection plan for them just in case something happens technically and I get to try a new pair. These headphones have it all. Amazing Sound, Great Noise cancellation, even ambient sound awareness so you don't have to take of the headphones to hear someone. However because I own several pairs of headphones, all of them work with the 4th gen apple tv I own. Except the Elite 700s. This is the only reason for my 3 star review because I use headphones at night while my fiancé sleeps. I hope it gets fixed with a firmware update, but as of right now the lack of this feature is a big deal for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No burn in needed for these beauties! After two days of using these, I feel these are great sounding headphones, and they didn't need burn in time. Out of the box, they're not bad. But, after using the My JBL Headphone app and tweaking everything as though they were made to order to my specifications, how can I say anything but they are outstanding, bar none! Once I tweaked them to sound like I wanted them to sound, I realized these were the perfect headphones! Full, warm, well rounded, clear sound. Just the way I wanted them to be. Bravo JBL! Nice job!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Sound and Features/BT Connection Issues I bought the black Everest 700 Elite's at Best Buy the day they came out. I paired it with my iPhone on the way home and the sound was amazing once I tweaked the EQ via the app. I hardly have any music on my phone because I have such a large amount and use a 7th gen iPod Nano which is equipped with BT. I was extremely disappointed to find out my iPod did not recognize my headphones. I tried my older iPhone, another Nano, a PS Vita, and an iPad with the same results....all devices would not recognize the headphones. Come on JBL, let's push this update so we can enjoy these amazing headphones on all our devices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headphones! I bought these headphones after comparing them to the Beats bluetooth headphones which were far more expensive. I thought that the sounds from the JBL's was at least as good and the noise canceling feature is very good as well. One item of minor annoyance is that you have to have some sort of sound streaming in order for the noise canceling feature to remain turned on. This is slightly aggravating while on an airliner, but I simply turn on a white-noise app and reduce the volume way down and it works like a champ. It's an easy work-around, but hopefully JBL will fix that feature in the future. Overall, these are incredible from a sound, comfort and quality perspective, and I would buy them again over the next best option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love these cans These are the best Bluetooth headphones I had yet. While at the store I tried a few different pairs of headphones and these just felt great and sounded great. They beat out the Bose and just put Beats to shame. I have had them for a few months now and have brought them with me everyday. My days are 18 plus hours long and these travel well. They fold up nice to go in my bag and paired with all my devices with no issue. I wear them for extended hours with no discomfort. The cups are soft and are holding up well. They form a great seal and the noise canceling is superb. I love them when I need to take a break from my day and just get lost for awhile in some music or a podcast. The app is really useful unlike other apps that come with headphones. If you are looking for some good Bluetooth headphones you should give them a try. I purchased mine at my local Best Buy they had them on display along with the other Everest models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Headphones! THEY WILL CONNECT TO MULTIPLE DEVICES! Read the FAQs they will tell you how to do it. Other than that all other reviews concerning how great the sound is are absolutely correct.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Concept I give the JBL Elite 700 3 stars only for the following reasons. 1) There is no update available to fix the critical connection issues as of 11/18/2015. 2) You can connect to only one device as the firmware locks to that device permanently. Even if you turn the bluetooth off on the connected device - no other device can see the headphones. We tested this by exchanging the headphones and tried again with the same results. For instance, I was able to connect to a smart tv with no issues. But once the connection is established, you can not connect to any other device whatsoever. If you connect by bluetooth to an iPad you can access the app online but no update available through the app as the headphones come loaded with the wrong firmware version for auto app updates. JBL tech support verified that there is no access to the update at this time on their website, so you cannot fix this issue by cable connection to a laptop or desktop computer. 3)The headphones work great for one device only. So if thats what you need them for, then these headphones would be great but not updatable. Final note: They are advertised as being able to intercept phone calls, listen to music and made for iPhone, iPad, and iPod. I know they will work with Samsung's new smart TV SUHD as they did for me, but they need to connect to more than one single device to be updated. They have great sound! They have easy to use buttons and are very comfortable to wear. I am sure that JBL will fix the issues ASAP - I hope. Overall, They are a great product and would have been a 5 star product if the firmware wasn't an issue.

My Elite700 sounds great on all devices except my macbook. With wire the sound is okay but on bluetooth its bad. It sounds terrible like a mono. I updated the firmware using the app. Still problem persists. How do I make them work on apple laptop?

Asked by: Vamsi
Please check the settings of your Macbook. It is possible that the Bluetooth device setting is set to mono. Click on Bluetooth icon at the top of the screen. Select Bluetooth Device, then Open Sound Preferences. To use as a stereo device, select Bluetooth Device Stereo on the input tab.

I understand there is a new update. App says mine is current. 0.6.4.

Asked by: Roger
For headset with software version 4.0, the first update will be done via USB cable, all subsequent updates after this will be delivered over the air. For headsets with version 5.0 and up, all updates will be delivered over the air, via the app.

My headset will not fully charge. I connect it to charge and the red charge light illuminates for about 30 seconds and then goes out. Love these headsets, but this issue is rendering them useless

Asked by: Soar07
Your headphones are behaving rather unusual, it should charge properly once plugged in. I would highly suggest that you submit an email case to www.harmanaudio.com/contactus if your headphones are within one year from purchase.

How do I connect the Everest Elite 700s to my phone? There is not Bluetooth button and the manual does not say which buttons, if any, need to be pressed.

Asked by: JakebJ
The bluetooth is also the power button that is located on the top the right ear cup. Make sure to have the headphones on so you can hear the audible voice. Press and hold the power/bluetooth button for 4-6 seconds until you hear the audible voice stating, "powering on....JBL Everest is ready to pair" Make sure you are in pairing mode and bluetooth range for the device you are trying to connect. JBL Everest should be recognized within a few seconds on the device. If you are still having issues with pairing your device, please contact your local JBL Customer Service for technical support.

Your manual on how to use this is pretty useless! I cannot find how to charge this or what to use to charge it when I am at work and not near a desktop computer.

Asked by: Terry
We are sorry to hear about the issues you are having with our product. Unfortunately, the only way to charge the Everest headphones is with a micro USB charger. You can find the USB outlet on the headphones below the right ear piece next to the audio outlet.
